A Nest in the North celebrates the core Canadian values of kindness and welcoming. This book honours the stories of over 61,890 refugees who found a new home in Canada in 2022. 100% of proceeds from the sales benefit The UN Refugee Agency.

The book is truly meant for anyone who enjoys a heartfelt story, but it is best suited for children aged 5 and up.

Should I purchase this book even if I’m not a child?

Of course! The moral of the story is applicable to all ages and it makes a fantastic gift. Plus the money raised is for a good cause.

How much money is being donated to charity from each book sale? 

100% of all proceeds will be donated to The UN Refugee Agency.

Who illustrated the book?

Veronika Kotyk is a globally awarded illustrator and graphic designer from Kyiv, Ukraine.

Veronika graduated from the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU KPI in 2011 with a bachelor in fine arts. She has since been awarded numerous honours including:  Boekie Boekie stArt Award 2017 (NL), Mom's Choice book gold award-winner (US), and is a member of the Artists Market on -ing Creatives (UAE).

Unfortunately, A Nest In The North is a limited edition print book. However, you are still able to purchase and download the e-book edition. 

I didn’t receive my print book, what do I do?

Please check the tracking number provided with your order confirmation. If your order does not arrive within 10 business days of the estimated delivery date, we will consider the order lost-in-transit. We then will offer a full refund or a re-shipment of the lost-in-transit order. Please reach out to our support team on the contact page.

I received my print book, but it was damaged, what do I do? 

We are sorry to hear that! If your order is damaged or you received a faulty product, you are eligible for either a refund or re-shipment of your product. All requests must be made within 30 days of delivery. Please reach out to our support team on the contact page.
